APS MCC(A) Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation Course
The aim of the course:
The Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) course is Air Plan Aviation's enhanced pathway from single-pilot flying to the airline flight deck. Building on the foundations of the standard MCC course, APS MCC adds advanced swept-wing jet aeroplane training and realistic airline operations scenario training, equipping pilots with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to begin an airline type rating with confidence.
Delivered in our in-house Airbus A320 FNPTII MCC simulator and structured around real airline operating procedures, the course transitions students from single-pilot operations to safe, effective multi-crew flight deck performance while consolidating the instrument flying and technical competence they already hold.
Pre-entry requirements
An applicant for the MMC(A) course shall have one of the following:
CPL (Frozen ATPL), PPL/IR or CPL/IR
Training Syllabi
Theoretical knowledge instruction: The Theoretical MCC Training Course comprise 25 hours and includes Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management theory, jet flight planning, flight deck management, normal and non-normal operating procedures, checklist usage, jet aerodynamics, and swept-wing handling techniques, supported by presentations, videos, and accident case studies.
Training in multi-crew co-operation of multi-pilot airplanes (Airbus A320). Ten four-hour simulator sessions in our jet flight simulator, comprising general air-work multi-crew exercises and Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) sequences. Training covers advanced handling skills, automation management, auto-flight and flight director operation, IFR navigation and procedures, normal and non-normal systems management, emergency procedures, and adverse weather handling. Students train in pairs, rotating between the Pilot Flying and Pilot Monitoring roles across exercises, applying classroom theory in realistic, real-time operational scenarios. The final session includes a formal assessment confirming that course objectives have been met.
Starting from June 2026, all MMC(A) courses are conducted on our in-house Airbus A320 FNPT II MCC Simulator!
