About the course
The UAV industry has experienced a boom in the last couple of years as drones have become essential business tools in many industries. If you are considering a career as a UAV licensed pilot, Air Plan EL-UAS-TC 16 is the training provider you are looking for.
Training Syllabus
As the very first company to receive approval from the HCAA we are the one stop shop for all your drone training needs.
Theoretical knowledge training that meets the requirements of EASA and covers topics of the General framework for flights of Unmanned Aircraft Systems – UAS, provided online and covering the following subjects.
The subjects for the A1/A3 category certificate
1.
Aviation safety
2.
Aviation regulations
3.
Airspace restrictions
4.
Limitations of human performance
5.
Operating procedures
6.
General knowledge of UAS
7.
Confidentiality and data protection
8.
Insurance
9.
Security
The subjects for the A2 category drone pilot certificate are:
1.
flight performance of UAS,
2.
technical and operational risk mitigation measures on the ground,
3.
meteorology,
which are added to those provided for the A1/A3 category certificate.
Theoretical knowledge Examinations
Online for the A1/A3 category certificate ( in total 40 questions )
HCAA SUPERVISED weekly schedule (Online) for the A2 category certificate( in total 30 questions ).
After a successful completion of the course, a Certificate of Theoretical/ Practical Training Completion will be provided directly to your email account with a unique Id which meets the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority’s Standards (HCAA/ΥΠΑ). For the ‘open’ category or standard scenarios, the National Aviation Authority is responsible for issuing the certificates. A certificate for Remote Pilot competency is valid for 5 years.
Additional Practical Training
If requested Air Plan can provide additional Practical Training in order the student to be able to navigate his aircraft safely, knowing its basic functions. It covers all the skills of category A2 and at the end of this training a relevant certificate will be delivered. You can be trained either with your own UAS or with one of our fleet.
E-Learning
HCAA approved elearning is provided for all three categories A1/A2/A3 with training videos (Web Based Training) to include the examinations.
Written exams
English Language Assessment (ICAO Level 4-6)
For those UAS pilots that already hold the open category license and they want to extend it (Specific Category) Air Plan being an English Language Assessment Body (Proficiency Test Center) EL-LAB-029 approved by HCAA/EASA is capable of providing this service with Testing capability up to ΙCAO LEVEL 6.
Written exams / Skill test
After a successful completion of the course, a Certificate of Theoretical/ Practical Training Completion will be provided, which meets the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority’s Standards (HCAA/ΥΠΑ).
For the issuance of the Pilot License from HCAA, written exams (Air Plan has been approved as an Examination Center for it’s students) and a skill test (Flight assessment) is furthermore required.
